Star Court is unashamedly contemporary. Considering its private and secluded location, the architect’s design could take advantage of the technical benefits offered by modern construction materials and techniques.
Every opportunity to create a sustainable home has been taken; the high airtightness requirement coupled with an MVHR system will retain heat and increase energy efficiencies. The air source heat pumps will control temperature inside the house and maintain a comfortable temperature in the swimming pool.
Build Profile
The building is constructed utilising a cross laminated timber (CLT) frame. In contrast to a standard timber frame, this structure enables the extension of the feasible height range to provide open plan living.
