Design by Make; A new 200sqm pavilion in the park in the South West, complete with exhibition space, cafe and public toilets. The building is placed on the existing pathway, orientated towards the distant views.
The over-sailling roof encourages visitors to interact with the building as they pass by, a third space which can be used in summer and winter. The main roof structure, constructed using glue-laminated oak, responds to the non-orthogonal geometry found in the nearby Victorian landscape. Large roof lights bring natural light and ventilation into the heart of the building.
