With the initial concept design by NVB Architects and the technical design and interiors by the architect client: Make have been appointed to undertake the construction of this new dwelling in Somerset.
This new dwelling gained planning permission under Class Q permitted rights for the conversion of existing barns.
The existing barn structure was retained and wrapped in insulated timber panels, constructed offsite to achieve extremely high levels of thermal performance and air tightness. Designed using the principles of passive house construction, this low energy home provides unrestricted views over the valley and surrounding farmland.
